Originally from Southeast Missouri, Amanda transplanted to Colorado 15 years ago after completing her graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology. So how did she get here?

Amanda began working at Mountain Toad Brewing just after it opened in Golden, Colorado 10 years ago as a beertender. When a few years later, she became a mother for the first time, she realized that she wanted to spend more time with her family. By this time, Amanda had taken over booking for their food truck program and coordinating their events and continues to do so 6 years later. In this she found a new passion. Amanda loves collaborating with others and bringing others together. In fact, she sometimes claims it to be her super power!

As Amanda began to consider how to bring her passions together, the idea of a bee hive instantly came to mind. Just as all of the bees must work together for their hive to survive, so must the employees and parts of a business come together to grow and thrive. A hive is a community where every bee is important and necessary just as the community of Golden and the West Denver Area.

When Amanda is not spending time sampling food truck food or bringing others together, she spends time with her two boys and her husband. They love being a part of the Golden community, being at their cabin in the mountains, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
